We do it an average of 12 to 20 times per minute — often without even giving it a second thought. And yet, if we were to stop it for even a mere 4 to 6 minutes, not only would we be on the cusp of brain damage, but we probably wouldn’t be alive to finish reading this article. What is it that I’m talking about? Well, you can stop holding your breath…and breathe — because that’s what I’m talking about: BREATHING.
